Parables Jesus Quiz- What I believe

He who has ears to hear let him hear-

The bible makes it clear that no prophecy of scripture is of private interpretation. 2nd Peter 1:20. Many people have taken that scripture and taught that all scripture means the same to everyone. Jesus made it clear in John 6:63 that the words he spoke were spirit. The Lord has a way of dropping a word in your spirit that will give life to your spirit. Have there ever been times that you were dealing with a certain situation and Jesus dropped a parable inside you that changed your whole attitude and outlook on that situation. The word of God is life. It is marrow to the bones. There have been plenty of times the word of God changed the course of my thoughts on a situation. I’m so glad he did. Here are some parables that changed my life. Here is a parables Jesus Quiz and what I believe. Tell me if you agree or disagree.

Matthew 22: 1-14. Parable of the wedding feast.-

To me this is pertaining to the Jews at first. The Jews were Gods chosen people and blessed among all the people. The bible makes it clear throughout that the Lord held them very dear to him. They were the special guest to the wedding. In the parable, people ignored the invite of the king. They chose to tend to business as usual. These people cared more about their own desires in life than the invitation of the king. The result was that the king became furious and decided to kill them and burn their cities. People today should be made more aware of this part of the parable. How many times has the Lord called us to some work or repentance? Sometimes we ignore that call and find ourselves in a world of trouble as a result.

The next half of this parable is very teachable. Here is a Jesus parable quiz. Do you know what the second half is about? Can you say us? Since the chosen guest did not want to come to the wedding feast, the king invited everyone he could find that would come. Good and bad people were invited. This tells me that when Gods chosen people rejected him, the door was open to anyone who would come. Halejuha!!!. There may be someone out there who does not believe in the Lord. One of the main arguments is “it’s not our fault Adam and Eve sinned”. That is no longer a valid argument. The reason is that God made it right by allowing us all the opportunity to get into heaven. We have the same choice in the end as his chosen people. Do we receive the invitation or reject it?

This parable concludes with one of the guest not coming to the wedding dressed properly. The king asked him how he came to the wedding without a wedding garment. The bible says he was speechless. This poor guy was punished. That is putting it mildly. The parable closes by stating that many are called but few are chosen. The point here is that we were offered a great deal of grace by being offered the invitation. Some of us don’t value that invitation. We would rather show up for the benefits without conducting ourselves accordingly. If the king killed the original people he invited, how much more will he punish those shown grace who don’t appreciate it?

Matthew 13:3-9.- Parable of the sower.

This is by far one of my favorite parables in the bible. Everyone on Earth should be able to understand it. Jesus broke it down himself. It starts off talking about a man who went out to sow seeds into the ground. First he sewed some by the wayside and the birds came and ate it up. The seed is in reference to the word of God sown in our hearts. The seed that fell by the wayside was the word sown in someones heart who had no understanding. Fowls are in reference to the devil who comes and takes that word away as soon as it is gotten.

The next batch of seed fell into stony ground. This stony ground is in reference to a place where the word can actually grow. Just because it grows does not mean it will take root. Jesus said when the sun came up the plant was scorched. Since the plant was not rooted it withered away. Some of us receive the word and set out to do good with it. We can get by for a while. The moment trouble arises for what we believe in, we can’t stand because we are not deeply rooted in Christ. I have dealt with both of these parables in my lifetime. This one is particularly frustrating . Many times in life I have been delivered and overcame obstacles in my life. Just as the parable says, when trouble arose for the good in my life I often ran back to things .

Some seed fell among thorns. This is what I like to call level three in my walk. By level three, we almost got it. The word is sown, and even takes root. We begin to see fruit. There is evidence of breakthrough. We are probably doing some work in the name of Jesus by now. That’s when the thorns start to grow. Jesus said that the thorns choked out the fruit. Here is truth if I have ever seen it. How many times has a new job come along to put an end to time spent with God? All of a sudden we just can’t seem to get back to church. We are too tired to read and study. It just amazes me how a parable from 2,000 years ago can be so  be so oago can be so  be so on point today.

Oh yeah- The good ground.

Lucky for us who stay at it, some seed falls into good ground. We have to remember that the seed is the word of God. I tell people all the time to just keep on reading and studying. There is no way the word of God won’t change your life for the better. Jesus said that some seed fell into good ground and brought forth fruit. Some brought 30 fold,60,fold, even 100 fold. Fruit does come forth. Some may be in your family. Some may be on your job. There could even be fruit in your brain. Fruit, fruit and more fruit in all areas of your life. I believe that in order to get this fruit you have to sew it first. A little seed may fall by the ways side, but eventually some will fall into good ground.

Parables of Jesus are fact-

We live in the very last days. Some people still do not believe Jesus Christ is the son of God. There is so much that he gave to this world. Even if you don’t believe in him, there is no denying the wisdom he left us. These are truths that make us wiser and better prepared today. The day is coming when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is indeed the son of the living God. In the meantime I will be right here applying these parables in my life. I hope that you will to. I would love to hear what you think of these parables. Let me know if I missed anything. Please let me know how these parables have affected your own life.
